Aagaaz July 2011 (Orientation Programme for the MBA July11 batch of students from 25th July 2011 – 27th July 2011)


The Orientation Programme was organised for Post Graduate Program in Business Practices and Corporate Leadership, July 2011 batch from 25-27 July , 2011. The programme was conducted in the Knowledge Atrium, the seminar hall of the Institute.

The inaugural function was part of three days long orientation programme that began wih a havan for the successful academic life of the students .The havan was attended by the new students, their parents and staff members.

The Orientation Program began with the Prologue session. The Dean, Ms Anjana Chugh highlighted the various activites that the students would be exposed to during their stay of 2 years at the BSB Campus. She also reiterated that the students should participate fully in all academic and extra co-curricular activities so as to emerge as winners at the end of the program.  The various clubs were introduced by the respective club co-ordinators which was followed by an introduction of Centre of Industry Interface, where the activities of summer internship, industry visits, organising well known speakers from the corporate world and the final placement . A distinguished personality Guest lecture- Mr MS Suresh,VP- Sales Operations, Giesecke & Devrient, India was invited as Guest of Honour who shared his views regarding various management concepts on the first day of the orientation programme on his topic, “Lets Talk- Management”.The students played some business games in ‘Grey Cell Oscillation’, followed by interaction with faculty in the Value Add session, where the faculty interacted with the students. Prizes were given to the winners.

The Interface session on the second day began with a workskop "Corporate Rendezvous - Breaking the Ice" where the students were given an insight into Corporate Etiquettes. Dr Ravi Shankar, Professor, IIT Delhi was the guest of honour for the second day who enlightened the students on meeting the corporate challenges on the topic, “Management Skills For Career Building”. Movie Screening & discussion was also a part of the second day activity.Smile Foundation members interacted with the students and showed clippings of the movie’ I am Kalam”.

On the third day, the Epilogue session,  the new batch of students were taken out for "Delhi Darshan: Explore the Capital" to explore the capital city and visited many beautiful and historical places like Lotus temple, Red Fort, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Akshardhamh Mandir and many more historical monuments. The students were overjoyed at exploring the city.
