Aagaaz: Feb-09
There is a turning point in every person’s
life and this turning point has come for those
fortunate students who have come from all over
India by clearing their GDPI in and out of Delhi
during their admission process and were welcomed
to the Delhi campus with pomp and joy by the BSB
team. We had arranged orientation program for
three days.
On 16th Feb 2009 they crossed the threshold of
their beloved ones and entered into the premises
of BSB where the beginning was done with the showers
of blessing, pooja performed by each and every
well wisher of the BSB and then after having the
sumptuous Prasad they were seated in the seminar
hall where the Dean, Mr.B.P.Sarkar addressed the
gathering, detailing the hard core life that they
have to face in the forth coming years. In the
post lunch session they got the honor and the
opportunity to meet, listen and interact with
the Reverend Guest for the day, Mr.Jahar Saha,
the former Director of IIM-Ahmedabad. We ended
the hectic day by conducting a management game
titled “Do you know what I mean”.
On 17th Feb 2009 students were divided into several
groups and were asked to make posters on the topic
“Social Responsibilities” and after
its completion they were asked to give group presentation
on the same. Later on they were really enthralled
by hearing the lecture given by Mr.Ashish Mathur
on the topic “Assessing Yourself”.
After lunch the batch was ready to watch the movie
that we had screened “Slum dog Millionaire”.
On 18th Feb 2009 students got a wonderful chance
to witness the bliss of silence by practicing
meditation under the able guidance of Ms.Sangeeta
from Vishvas Meditation. This was to endeavor
the art of concentrating and implementing the
same for their benefit. Soon after that they were
ready to listen to Mr. Anil Arora, a prominent
financial manager who delivered his lecture on
the topic, “Corporate Governance”.
We successfully ended our orientation session
with the registration process of the new batch
wishing hale and hearty life with success and
bright future.
