Parents-Teachers Meet
Date: 18th October 2008

BSB, Delhi Campus organized a Parents Teachers Meet on 18th October. It gave an opportunity to the parents to interact with the faculty members regarding the progress made by the individual students till mid-semester.

High Tea was served to the guests as they assembled. Mr. Sunil Joshi, Director (Academics) gave an overview of the multifarious activities of the students through a slide presentation.

Mr. B P Sarkar, Dean, welcomed the parents/guardians and hoped that the Meet would benefit the parents and faculty members who were equally concerned for the best results of their common asset, the students. He explained how the students have been motivated to transform from acquiring passive knowledge at the undergraduate level with the sole objective of passing the examinations, to acquiring active knowledge through discussions, debates and presentations. In the process they have become more confident of applying their knowledge in diverse and related situations. Emphasis is laid at BSB on collaborative and cooperative learning and sharing responsibilities. They learn to work as a team and display their leadership qualities.

The progress report based on the continuous evaluation was presented to the parents and guardians who attended the meet. The parents further discussed these with individual faculty members. Cooperation of parents was sought for improving the attendance of students in general and specially where these were below the minimum prescribed level.

Parents were apprised of the efforts made by BSB for placement of Sem II students in industry for gaining practical experience.

The students entertained those present with a dance program.

Parents were apprised of the catering facilities available at BSB and served lunch.
