NISHAN 2010



BSB Kolkata's 1st annual fest 'NISHAN 2010' took place on 18th & 19th November, 2010 at campus and Rotary Sadan by the galaxy of our students. On the first day of fest, the session started with 'Debate' competition on the topic of 'Obama's visit to India' and 'Commonwealth games, 2010', followed by 'Rangoli Competition', 'AD Making', ' Antakshari' and ' 1 minute game'. The students attempted all the events with great enthusiasm and the encouragement of all the members of BSB Kolkata executed the event with great success.



On 19th November, 2010, 'NISHAN' shifted campus to Rotary Sadan (venue of the event) with bundles of showcased programmes. The 2nd and last day session started at 4:00 pm with the lamp lighting ceremony of corporate guests from 'Varun Bevergaes Pvt. Ltd' and ' Tata Securities', followed by Dean Academics, Dr. S R Acharyya's speech and prize distribution ceremony by Mr. Harijiban Banerjee, Director, Senbo Engineering, for on-campus competition.. And there was a special award for 'Outstanding Social Award' for our students and this particular award was given by Prof. G C Talukdar, Director of Institute of Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare Management & Research, Kolkata. The crowd was overwhelmed by the performances of the students, like inaugural and classical dance, bihoo dance, drama and ramp show. The 'Ramp Show King' and 'Ramp Show Queen' prize were given by our campus head, Prof. Anupam Ghosh. The hosts of the event, Abhishek Bhowmick and Sweety Prasad thanked 'Pepsi' for being our media partner and their Managing Director's message was read out at that session. The spirit of youth and fragrances pervaded all over when the last performance of the evening, 'Nucleus' started with their tracks.



NISHAN 2010 has imprinted their significance with every approach and transmission of our thinking that what we want to do and expect that we will come every year with same spirit and expectations.
