Razzmatazz
’09 is the annual cultural and literary
festival of BSB Delhi campus.
This year the fest was organized on 30th and 31st October
with great fervour in the campus premises. The festival aimed
at bringing out the latent talent of students through cultural
and academic events. Hence, this is the time when students
enjoy most and many a hidden talents, other than academic,
also show up.
The festival was officially opened with lightening of lamp
by the Chief Guest Ms.Reela Hota, an illustrious Odissi
exponent along with senior academicians of BSB.
This 2 days long extravaganza had various inter college
competitions with participation from various B-Schools like
Amity, Algol…. to name a few.
The first day kick started with highly anticipated “Flavors
of India-Regional dance competition” for which Rs.5000
was given away as prize money to the winning team. This
competition was followed by “Symphonita-Carol singing”,
“Impersonators- Mime”, and “Bizarre- Weird
dress competition”. All the cultural events were judged
by Ms.Reela Hota who said that the hard work put in by participants
was clearly visible by the level of expertise showcased.
The second day of academic events started with a prayer
dance, followed by a few words of encouragement by Dean
and then first event started that was “Business Plan
– The Innovators” in which Rs.3000 were given
away as prize to the winning team. This was followed by
“Dream Merchants-Ad Mad Show”, “Pictionary
– Guess what my pen says” and “The Mask-
Face Painting”. The events were judged by Ms. Aman
Bedi, Director British School of Language and Satinka Lifestyle,
who added on to the glamour quotient of the day.Ms.Bedi,
appreciated and encouraged the students for their remarkable
performances.
All the winners, runners up and 2nd runners up of cultural
and academic events were given trophies and certificates.
Superb compering by the students Chandan and Shobhika interspersed
with splash of humour, made the show very lively on both
days.
Another most awaiting and exciting feature of the fest was
the fete wherein stalls ranging from mouth- watering chats,bhelpuri,
handmade flowers, bags and boxes, dress material ,motivational
books, multimedia products were displayed. On the entertainment
side, there were stalls of games like lit the candles, double
your money, hit and win were arranged by students. And the
presence of clowns added to the flavour of fun and frolic.
That’s not all…the cultural and academic extravaganza
ended with DJ party wherein all the students as well faculties
tapped their foot on peppy numbers and enjoyed themselves.
The students and teachers cooperated exceedingly well so
as to make this event a grand success.
Apart from being just an excellent source of entertainment
for the campus, the fest inculcated a sense of leadership,
responsibility and team work amongst the students involved
in organizing the fest.
