Visit to Vridh Ashram, BSB Delhi

Count of destitute old age people in India is increasing every day. Factors playing major role in increasing this number are Globalization, decreasing moral values, nuclear families and other socio economic factors. The students of BSB visited the Guru Vishram Vridh Ashram. This activity was conducted under the aegis of Arpan club. The students met the senior citizens & cheered them up with their vivaciousness, compassion & empathy. The destitute & handicapped were overjoyed with the attention, care & optimism that were provided by the students. The break in the day-to-day routine came as a breath of fresh air, which created joy in the hearts of the residents. Snacks & drinks were shared with them, while the senior citizens had conversations, sang songs & danced with the students. The students left the old age home with sensitivity towards the aged & joy in their heart at contributing in the lives of the aged.
