BSB Kolkata Welcomes the New Batch
Bangalore School of Business, Kolkata organized the Orientation Program of February-July Batch 2010 from February 22, 2010 to February 26, 2010, welcoming the new batch of young minds to the gateway of corporate world
On February 22, the Orientation Program began with the welcome address by Mr. Anupam Ghosh, Campus Head, BSB Kolkata. Later, the wannabe managers introduced themselves one by one highlighting their strength, aspirations and expectations from the school. Dr. S.R. Acharya, Dean-Academics, also welcomed the students and detailed them about the school, curriculum and how they can get most out of it. The freshers also got the opportunity to listen to Mr. Harijiban Baneerjee, Director, Senbo Engineering Ltd and Ex-president, ICWAI who delivered a lecture, based on his experiences as a leader with several business organizations. Mr. Indranil Sinha, Regional Manager, Ma Foi also interacted with the new students.

On February 23, the Orientation Program was marked by a thought provoking lecture from Mr. S.N. Nundy, Director-Matthews & Co. and Chairman, ASSOCHAM. He imparted the students with some great ideas and valuable lessons, leaving an impact on the fresh minds

Prof. G.C. Talukdar, Ex Chairman, General Manager, Ex CEO of Hindustan Cables Ltd addressed the students on February 24, 2010. He gave a presentation on some tricky avenues of mathematics and statistics that left the students spellbound. He also received some witty answers from our students too. A session on personality development and management was also organized. A team of experts from The Hindu comprising of Mr. Rony Gupta, Assistant Regional Manger (Circulation), Mr. Anushuman Roy and Mr. Manajit Kar, Senior Sales Officer of The Hindu delivered their presentation comprising of some enriching slide shows and documentary films.

The last day of the Orientation Program on February 26 witnessed talented performance by the senior students. The Orientation Program ended with a tour to Nicco Park in Kolkata.
Ms. Susheweta Guha Thakurta, Lecturer and Academic Coordinator coordinated the Orientation Program.
