Round Table Conference

Mr. Sanjay Sadana, Assistant Professor, BSB, along with six students, attended the Round Table Conference on Consumer Awareness held under the aegis of Centre for Public Policy at India on 7th April, 2009 at International Centre Annexe, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi.

The Conference started with an opening speech by Maj. Gen. D. N. Khurana, Chairman of the Centre for Public Policy. The students had the opportunity to listen to eminent panelists from National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and Consumer Voice. They dwelt on why consumer policy is important and how it can lead to consumer awareness. The genesis of Consumer Act, 1986 and current status of various legislations were discussed. An insight was also given to the desirable future actions to make consumer awareness more effective and powerful.
